We handle everything for you!

At FIS Costa Rica, we design and deploy smart agriculture and research monitoring systems. From field assessment and sensor installation to LoRaWAN network setup and platform configuration. We ensure reliable data collection across research plots and test areas.

Researchers focus on crop analysis and experimentation.
We manage connectivity, monitoring, and system performance.

Technological solution with LoRaWAN

The Challenge

Agricultural research environments require precise control of soil and environmental variables. Manual measurements are limited, inconsistent, and time consuming. Without continuous monitoring, researchers face difficulties in analyzing crop behavior, optimizing irrigation strategies, and managing pest conditions effectively across multiple test areas.

Our Solution

A smart agriculture system was deployed using LoRaWAN technology to support research activities at the Fabio Baudrit Agricultural Research Center. The solution integrates soil sensors and automated irrigation to deliver accurate, real time field data.

Key Features:

• Continuous monitoring of soil humidity and temperature
• Measurement of conductivity and lighting conditions
• Automated irrigation adjustments based on sensor data
• Reliable long range connectivity across research plots
• Data availability for analysis and experimentation

This system enables researchers to make informed decisions, improve crop performance, and enhance the quality of agricultural research outcomes.
